Golf Course Road is the eight-kilometre spine running from Sikanderpur down to Sector 56, with the DLF Golf and Country Club as its literal centrepiece. It's the address for premium corporate housing, the Trident-Nirvana-Oberoi cluster, and the residence of every third managing director in Gurugram. The Rapid Metro runs the length overhead with stations every kilometre. Air quality is measurably better than MG Road — wider setbacks, fewer diesel autos — and the pavements are almost usable for a full 20-minute walk.

Where it disappoints: there's no there there. Between the tower complexes are more tower complexes. Restaurants are hotel restaurants or mall food courts. If you want a neighbourhood feel go elsewhere. If you want a ₹17116 room with an actual gym, a working shuttle to your client offices in Sector 25 or Cyber City, and reliable ESG-compliance paperwork on request at reception, this is the correct base. Weekends the road empties and hotel rates drop 25%.

The stretch between DLF Phase 1 and Phase 5 is where the road earns its premium tag: glass office towers like One Horizon Center and Global Business Park sit directly opposite serviced-apartment blocks, and every entrance has a boom barrier and a guard with a clipboard. By 9pm the pavements empty and the only movement is valet staff and the odd jogger circling the golf course perimeter wall. It reads corporate rather than residential after dark, which suits the business traveller fine and disappoints anyone hoping for street life. Sector 53-54 and Sector 42-43, either side of the metro line, hold the closest thing to a functioning local market.

Families relocating for a two-year posting gravitate to the DLF Phase 3 and Phase 4 towers just off the main carriageway, drawn by the international schools nearby and the golf club membership that comes bundled with some apartment leases. None of that helps a two-night visitor, who should judge the road purely on commute time and room quality. Anyone chasing Gurugram's nightlife or its older market lanes should base in Cyber Hub or Sector 29 instead — Golf Course Road empties out by midnight and the nearest late kitchen is a hotel room-service menu.

The Trident, Oberoi Gurgaon and Westin sit within 1 km of each other between Sector 26 and Sector 42, all facing the golf course. Rooms run ₹14263-₹24723 midweek at these; the Westin does a good ₹12837 rate on Fridays. Cheaper alternatives — Ibis Golf Course Road, Country Inn Sector 29 — are 400m off the main road and add a 6-minute walk to any metro station. Avoid rooms facing the road on lower floors; horns. High season (October to March) rates at the Trident and Oberoi Gurgaon push toward the top of that band; low season, the monsoon months of July-August, can knock 20-25% off, and the Westin's Friday rate can drop under ₹11000.
